ABSTRAC A battery is a device that converts chemical energy into electrical energy . There are two types of batteries : Primary which are distinguished by not being rechargeable Secondary are rechargeable . Nowadays the use of batteries is an environmental problem because they are deposited in anywhere on the soil and they release toxic substances that harmful for health . As a result to this problem , the industrial Chemistry career decided to face it collecting batteries with the help of the student community .   OBJETIVO GENERAL  Obtener hidrógeno utilizando la energía residual de las pilas usadas.
